MARCUS MILLER BRINGS “WE WANT MILES!” TO LUCCA AN EXTRAORDINARY TRIBUTE TO MILES DAVIS ON THE CENTENARY OF HIS BIRTH

Lucca Summer Festival announces another major event for its 2026 edition: on 21 July, Marcus Miller, one of the most influential artists in contemporary music, will take the stage in Piazza Napoleone with the special show “We Want Miles!”, created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Miles Davis, the visionary figure who revolutionized jazz and reshaped the musical culture of the 20th century.
For this one-of-a-kind occasion, Miller will lead an all-star band featuring legends who played alongside Miles Davis as well as top-tier musicians who have been longtime collaborators of his.

Joining Marcus Miller on stage:
Mike Stern (guitar) – six-time Grammy nominee and one of the most important guitarists on the international jazz-fusion scene.
Bill Evans (saxophone) – one of the most distinctive voices of modern saxophone, and a member of Miles Davis’ band in the 1980s.
Mino Cinelu (percussion) – a visionary percussionist who collaborated with Miles, Weather Report, Sting, and Pat Metheny.
The line-up is completed by:
Russell Gunn (trumpet), Brett Williams (keyboards), and Anwar Marshall (drums) — all essential presences in Miller’s world tours.
